I've spent my entire life immersed in the captivating worlds of beer and wine, but it was only after I completed my PhD in Musicology that I decided to embrace the drinks industry full-time.
Throughout the years I’ve worked across different areas of the industry – including hospitality as a Head Sommelier, educator, market researcher. This mosaic of experiences is hugely beneficial to my work as a drinks journalist and consultant.
Although interested in all things fermented and distilled, my main expertise lies in wine and beer. I judge a number of international wine and beer competitions and I am Director of the British Guild of Beer Writers.
Before my move to freelancing, I was typing about wine, beer and spirits at Imbibe, the UK’s leading magazine for the on-trade drinks industry.
